Hopewell Hands-on Casting Activity

Times: All casting sessions are now full.  

What: This hands-on casting activity takes 1 hour and is limited to 10 children per session.  It is designed for children 3rd grade and up but younger kids can participate with help from an  adult.  A family can share a mold to accommodate more participants.  The end product takes 15 minutes to harden so kids can leave molds and pick up later.

Locations:

Saturday:  Historic Casting Shed at furnace ruins on Catoctin Furnace Rd. in the village of Catoctin Furnace

Sunday: Camp Round Meadow in Catoctin Mountain Park, 14840 Manahan Rd, Sabillasville, MD 21780  

Instructions: Sign up for desired time slot via the registration form on the right; check in at location; we’ll hold your spot until 10 minutes before your selected time slot so please arrive 10 minutes early!
