How To Support
The Catoctin Furnace Historical Society, Inc. is working hard to protect, preserve, and interpret the rich history of the village and its diverse workers for this and future generations to enjoy.
Historic Building Trades Scholarship Program
The Jerry Anderson Historic Building Trades Scholarship Program started in March 2026 in memory of Jerome (Jerry) Anderson, Jun 22, 1950 – Mar 5, 2026. Jerry was a tireless worker for his family, church, community, the construction trades, and historic preservation. The Historic Building Trades Scholarship Program will allow Furnace Fellows to live on-site for a year training in museum management and historic trades in partnership with Hood College.
